AYHJA Y 1GHz Athlon

Hey guys,

I think I might have a chance at getting one of the infamous AYHJA Y 1GHZ chips that can reach clocks of over 1.6GHz in a competent overclock!

Did anyone mange to get one of these babies? If so please tell me they are worth the dough or not since I now have a 950 running at 1.1, and I would at least want to be able to get 1.4 out of it on my current setup.

Seen a review on these chips by what I consider to be a competent reviewer. It reached around 1.55g but 1.6g wasn't possible on any of the chips he used. Some only reached 1.475g but on average these should be ok for 1.5g on average.

good to see your still about oddjob, good info there and exactly what i was going to say.

the biggest problem your going to have blood shrike is the kt7 mobo, your limited to a 12.5 * multiplier i believe and when i had a kt7 it started getting flaky at between 112 and 115mhz fsb dependingh on what cards i had installed which will give you a limit of about 1400mhz, not bad admittedly but not as high as the chip could handle.

Hi §Blood Shrike§.

Here is a good article about this <a href="http://www.ocmax.com/Articles/TBird1400/t-bird_1_4_ayhja_page1.htm">AYHJAR code</a>, but it's not a 1Ghz, it's a 1.4ghz instead.

And nice to see you again

Bios upgrade

Hi All
Had a snoop around tonite, and looks like there is a bios upgrade out for the kt maybe old news don't know.
But it does add support for higher chips i believe.

Thanx for all the info guys! I figured I would top out around 1375 with my KT7-R since the highest I can go with my FSB is 110 (currently due to the SBLive), but it will still be worthwhile so long as the multiplier will allow me the 12.5.

Hehe. I got that 1GHz CPU after. It will be in the mail to me shortly. This is the code off the CPU. Hopefully I will get great potential out of it!
