WCG

Maybe this is just me, but wouldn't this be more appropriate in the miscellaneous category?

Well, they are currently (and always have been) running medical projects only.

I like it where it is.

Yankton, what's your reasoning on moving it?

You ask a Knight for reason!!

The Clean Energy sub project is not a Bio project.

Though I suppose the rest of the sub projects are Bio in nature.

Even though it's just the one, this does make it a varied category project which should place it in miscellaneous.

Plus it's 7:30 in the AM and I haven't had a beer. I know this reason is less applicable, but it's still there.

From the website regarding the Clean Energy Project:
Quote:
By harnessing the immense power of World Community Grid, researchers can calculate the electronic properties of tens of thousands of organic materials many more than could ever be tested in a lab and determine which candidates are most promising for developing affordable solar energy technology.
See? Organic materials and stuff! Close enough to biology for me!

But I've already had my say... you others out there: Your opinions, please.

Methane is organic, but if we had a project for it I don't think I'd consider it a bio project either.

Interesting conversation .....technically Clean Energy is a Physical Science project I believe ...BUT historically WCG has always been BIO ....

My thoughts are to watch and wait, leave WCG Bio ...if their track record changes ...well then we need a Vulcan Mind Melt

I've started doing this for the influenza project. Previous results were for AIDS and CANCER. I think medical is more appropriate.

You are just waiting for Sir_Fart to join in this discussion, aren't you?

But I'd say wait a bit with moving else the stats will get messed up again.
STATS? I hear you say. Yes, stats; http://www.digik-oz.nl/dcVaultStats.aspx
