I HATE double posting ...but sometimes....

Unless your schedule is tight ..perhaps a week for volunteers too register without knowing exactly what they are getting into, is a bit much; as we need to know what we are getting into... how much support we will get and for how long...Script logistics...amount of control allowed...policies to follow...there are serious support issues

several of these issues are probably better addressed in a private thread or PM's

I thought this position was more like a Moderator, but instead of monitoring the Forum, evaluating, recommending, monitoring and adding and removing projects into the Vault. I don't think it has anything to do with the Forum software or keeping an eye on the Forum. Right??

Rusty and I are going nowhere and will continue to administer the Vault. So the answer to that question is "as much as you need and for the length of the appointment"

The are no scripts to maintain as it is all done via online control panels. If there is a new project which does not use the BOINC platform then I will create the collection scripts but the BOINC platform collection scripts can be added dynamically.

You will get full control of the Vault administration system and access to a new private forum here at Team Ninja.

Basically the only policies are the Vault project inclusion rules although there is a naming standard to follow for new projects but that is documented in the admin system.

I've waited for other teams to post their volunteers to this thread. As none has taken the step forward, I think it's about time to do so. I like the Vault, and I'm willing to take my turn taking some of the burden.

The duties of the post will include:
  • Perform Vault administration
  • Keep an eye on existing projects to ensure that they are still active
  • Keep a look out for any new projects
  • Make any suggestions with regard to how the Vault is run once they know how it all works behind the scenes
Is it a problem if Im not very into searching for new projects? I think administration of the vault won't take much time, am I correct?
