EXCELLENT site; newbie here with a question, please.

This is really a very impressive website. Glad I visited, and now that I've joined to compare HomeBrewers stats with others, I have a quick question (I checked the FAQ first, and didn't see an answer).

Question: I notice that our HomeBrewers team is earning credits for some SETI research, in addition to the World Community Grid. Is that because one of the members of HomeBrewers is already signed up to do SETI research? Or is my computer doing this without my knowledge?

Thanks.

Welcome to the site Bill

When I added your team to the DC Vault I found the Seti team too so it was added automatically as well. It might just be that someone created a Homebrewers team that you dont know or it might be someone from the same team. The DC Vault code checks for the same team Name, not members.

Thanks for the welcome. Years ago I used my computer to search for prime numbers, and then the FightAids@Home project before switching to the WCG, but I've never been involved with SETI. I checked that site and it appears to belong to a Keith Clark, but his name is not on my team.

Cheers.
