Doctor Who should be remade in the near future...this leaves 2 of my childhood favourites to be remade/continued...

Blakes Seven

possibly my favourite of them all please someone ..make it so

Space 2099 you mean?

Great news about BG though - although this time I want the Cylons to win.

Space 1999 was about the sillliest series ever, I am prepared to suspend a lot of disbelief, but the concept of the moon hurtling through space and coming across planets every two minutes is a but too much

I agree, but the "Eagles" were rather good, and Barry Morse was always enjoyable to watch......

Saying that, I bet I know why Squeaky wants Blakes 7 back - Jacqueline Pierce!

B& still ranks as one of the best ever. I always loved the loyalty of the crew to each other

the characters were superb..damn even the machines and computers had more character than most other shows better than Star Trek? You better believe it

Jacqueline Pierce was just a little too scary/tough/bitchy/viscious/cold hearted for (then) a boy of my meagre years...strangely she is much more appealing now errrr, I mean at least I appreciate her character more now

Have to confess space 1999 is a show whose repeats do not interest me BUT for pure nostalgic value id love to see it remade the Eagle yeah..and also the cool space gun

I LOVED that show..servalan would have to have been the most evil bitch ever to get a crew cut.....mind you for the good guys you wouldnt put your trust in Avon too much.
Hope they do it, but really hope they can afford better sets than that sodding rock quarry they filmed the ehtire last season in

But you must admit the liberator looked as tho it had ben knocked up on Blue Peter out of an old airball (air freshener) and a few empty washing up bottles. A friend of mine actually worked on the show and built their sets ...probably not that arduous a job from the look of it.

I quite recently watched a complete re-run of Blake's Seven on UK Gold (I also have a lot of the videos) and think it had a good storyline ... although to me at least after Blake left the story went offtrack and continued in that direction

Regards

The show took a bit of a knock by Blake going missing and they also killed off Carrie but IMHO they recovered quite well. I think they did go wrong in a lot of places, for example it got a bit silly with Servalan in the end She cropped up too much and was constantly either not killing the crew or them not killing her
