Well one piece of info is that we have passed the place where Dutch Power Cows were when we started the team a few days ago, however they have started to ramp up their production. We are still over 3K away and holding. Meanwhile they have passed the #10 team and look to be passing the number 9 team very soon (tonite).
The number of active users is starting to pick up. No new teams as yet but that may be changing soon. THe server so far has been quite stable. Howeer, this is a project for those who have regular access to the internet. Also ... I received this email today (and so did every user I imagine) . Odds are that this project may ramp up if the server and connection stay stable. This is the home site for any interested: http://rsa576.d2g.biz:8080/en/index_html Hello Radar! RSAttak is coming back with a new client and a new reliable internet connection soon. The problems line was resolved and the project can continue! The client required your login and your email to registrering on the server and start crunching... New identification method to put user informations into a init file. That is very good news (I haven't got my email yet).
I like the idea of being able to do a lot of work, and connect less frequently. I think the problem I reported is that many of the users are trying to connect at the same time (with a small block of results) and the server was being swamped. I think this is based in France (?) - if so the best time for me to try and connect would be during the morning UK time - as most of our Colonial cousins will (or should!) be sleeping at that time.

Yes, it is based in france and there are two forums, one english and one french and the french forum is more frequented. I just made the assumption that the email went to all users, but perhaps it only went to captains ... dunno there. By far the largest team is RSAttacZ which is french based I believe so ... I don't know when the best time to connect to be. I've gone to downloading of 100 packets at a time (the current max) just to minimize connection attempts ... but like I say, something funky has been going on because I always downloaded packets in groupings of 5 ... and I am no longer on an even number ...
