[RSAttak] Problems
I've noticed a major problem with this. When it tries to upload results, if it can't connect to the server, it dumps the results at the rate of 1/sec.
This explains my erratic scoring in the stats. I monitored it for an hour - out of 75 computations, only 51 registered as being sent, and only 51 appeared in the stats This is not good - in fact, it is even worse than the losses we used to get with Stanford.......  Unless this is addressed, and soon, I will not be taking any further part in it.

Yowsa! yep ... that would be a major problem. I'd wondered why I had gotten off the even count ... I've not seen a problem at upload but I haven't been watching all the time either ... I'll try to monitor this more closely and send your bug report onto orkblutt. Perhaps the new client they've just announced may address this as well.

Okay ... I've posted this on the English forum for RSA576 and we'll see what comes from it. Registration was a hoot because it was in French (does give you an option during registration to be in english later on ... but it's a good thing BB registrations are mostly the same ...
 )

I've decided to give it another run now - just to see what kind of response I get from the server (it's now midnight:20 here in the UK). I'll post again when I've got some figures.

I've now completed 8 cycles (of 10 woots)
All have successfully transferred and all appear in the stats. I can only assume that the problme occurs during times of heavy load on the server. Perhaps this is a project best run between 00:00 and 06:00 GMT!

the first client alpha realse have a time out error bug... This bug can explik your error between packet crunched and packed display on stats page... The server is not busy  Could you try the new client version and give me bug report? thanks

Indeed ... I was using an older client version. The newest version is 2alpha2. The new version was just released yesterday. I will be upgrading and let you know the results. Thanks orkblutt for stopping by and for your quick response!

Hi Orkblutt, and welcome to Ninjamicros!
I installed the 2alpha-2 client about 12 hours ago, and it has performed perfectly since. At the moment, I can't get to the site to check my stats, but the client is uploading normally.
