Downloaded the update successfully! Started crunching the 111 residue! Went to bed early (not feeling too well) Just got up.... All the boxes have stopped with "Status 906 - structure compression error"

They seem to be OK now. I had to delete all the existing structure files, and restart then.
Lost time for about 85,000 structures....

It certainly did! ![]() Needless to say, the Fleet is back up and running again, but my thoughts on the programming team at M*******t can't be written here - it would be too vulgar! As for DF, I downloaded new clients on the ships that I'd upgraded to W2000, and within five minutes they'd all crashed (with Status906 structure compression errors) again! So I can only assume that there is a problem with either my computers (unlikely, as they are working), or the downloads (also unlikely, as others are not having this problem except for the odd isolated case), or it's some issue between my ISP and DF's base of operations (the most likely in my opinion). As a result, I will switch the Fleet back to TSC, and retry DF each day until it works. |
