Bout time for update I think

checked in at fracture clinic wednesday gone..

have multiple fractures (near to sternum) as well as the main displaced clavicle BUT all seem to be sitting nicely in place as expected. Another week in the sling maybe and another 3/4 off work if i need to.

the funny thing about this whole farce is ive seen 4 orthopeadic surgeons/consultants to date...with the following results...

No1 ... too heavily displaced need Surgery tomorrow, usual sling wont work.
No2 ... very worried, maybe sternum damage, suspects more fractures, then disappears...
No3 ... after no2 goes, all is well, standard fare nothing to worry about, ok with few weeks in sling.
No4 ... Spots the multiple fractures this time as per No2, BUT all is in place as hoped for at this stage, no surgery

i thought this was a very common and easily fixed break..but heh!

Hey Squeaky the thing about orthopeadic surgeons/consultants is that they are national health witch doctors Take two aspirin and rub some more deep heat on it
