They were down due to water pipes bursting in the wall next to his office that had the server. He brought it up last week for a day or two and then it went back down sometime yesterday evening. This morning it (NCI site) was delivering work again. He did say in one of his news posts that the servers were not on any kind of backup support systems such as UPS at the moment and would be a manual process. So, to expect them to go down off and on in small time frames as he got things back to normal.

Project has been up and stable for many months. Downtimes have all been planned maintenance except for one catastrophic event due to a burst water pipe in the server room. No reason why this project shouldn't be added to the dc-vault. It meets all the requirements.

Project web addresses

I see you have added GoofyxGrid but you have picked up the stats from the old site.

The current site for NCI, that replaced the one you have used, is at nci.goofyxgridathome.net
If you wanted the CPU site that is at cpu.goofyxgridathome.net

So Goofy is added without even a vote? Seems like a DJT move. Is this the NCI or regular app? What's going on?

Hmm was never a fan of this project.
The admin was responsive on the message board and used funny English.
We had some fun with it, running 100 BOINC clients simultaneously or so.
IMO did not need to be re-added, but what about that low CPU usage version then?

Edit: Never mind a low CPU version, would work if non BOINC.

Confusion Conditions have been Met !

Perhaps with all the old History, and bad feelings, on the Old NCI Goofy project. Some people are not even looking at this tread as a valid discussion venue.

Might it be more efficient to open a separate new Goofy CPU intensive thread for fairer and more productive discussion ?

I agree. This thread was created for a project that not only has changed names but has also split into two. Rusty, could you close this thread? If people want to discuss the projects, they should create separate threads for discussing each. Once the project is added, then future discussion of the project in general such has when it is having troubles and such should be started in the appropriate forums.
