GoofyxGrid@Home

It's been 15 days since we've heard from the admin. Nothing seems to be going on.
Think we should start the clock?

Goofyyx moved to GCC (Grid Computing Center).

I don't think we need a clock for this.

Edit: the apparent GCC website: http://gridcomputingcenter.org/grid-computing-center/

GoofyxGrid is in transition to a new project. It will allegedly be a subproject still running on BOINC. However little details have been provided. The question is... does everyone feel the project needs pulled until further notice? Does everyone feel we should wait a bit longer? Thoughts and discussion please as there are no wrong answers.

Well, no stats for 10 days now. And whether or not GCC will be included in DC-Vault is a subject on it's own I think. So, Goofy no longer exists at the moment...I say pull it.

I was getting exasperated with Goofy as it was. First it's NCI, then it doesn't work, then it's compute intensive, then it doesn't work at all, then it's NCI again. Then the admin doesn't know what he wants to do. Then it's NCI, then it doesn't work, then it's compute intensive, then it doesn't work at all, then it's NCI again. Then the admin doesn't know what he wants to do. Ad nauseum. I won't even mention having to do resets and killing WUs that refuse to upload, so new work will download. Then there's the whole "multiple instances" thing: It's OK, now it's not, now it is. Then it's OK if you're not too obvious. Then it's not. Then it's OK again. Sheesh. Now he's been MIA for 16 days and of course no work at all. To top it off, the whole project is a waste of bandwidth IMO. I'm for canning it.
