Rectilinear Crossing Number
The project is down since 07 october because of RAID-problems. This is the two weeks notice, the project will be removed on 29 october 2010 if the problems are not solved.

Agreed. On the other hand, running a BOINC project does require some effort, and BOINC being a largely online service you have to be able to at least install new releases to close known vulnerabilities. Apparently, RCN was almost finished anyway. But it is a shame that they have to close down because of this, even though they would have been closing down anyway.
Given this announcement, countdown can be restarted I think, or might not even be necessary

Agreed, countdown has re-started from the 11th of november (this is the date of the post of Ungelovende).
Since the project stops I think no one wil object to the closure date of 25 november. |

Ran RCN for years and sorry to see it end. Interestingly it's still considerably more active than some other projects still in the Vault:
