Did we all find our way over okay or we still have some MIA? We may want to disable posting on the other forum and leave a BIG MESSAGE sticky to come over here. If anyone is in touch with other members (via email, PM) who don't check the board frequently maybe you could drop them a note and let them know where we're at (?)

I'm thinking we should have incorporated a buddy system :D

but I only got here tonight! Disabling posting on the oldie is definately a must, but only if there are comparable forums for me to peruse here (ahem, Sci-Fi, ahem)..... :D

Any chance I could be something other than an Overclocking Grasshopper...... maybe carrying across our post counts??? Puleeeeeeaaase...... :)

Well at least on the DF forum for now, make sure we have the team together. Ian was having a party all by himself yesterday, lol.

They're going to be bringing some of the other forums over yet. I think we'll be changing the user titles (grasshopper doesn't suit you anyway :D) and I'm going to see what we can do about the post counts.

Seems a shame to lose all the posts from the forums there though - especially the Humour forum. When I am bored I tend to read through all the old jokes, I'd hate to have to do some work! lol

I know, and we wanted to try and migrate them over, but unfortunately you can't backup and restore to a different database. Bummer :(

We're going to start the mugshot thread again though :p

I would think that any post you'd want to transfer over could be copied and pasted in a new post....not sure about really long one, how you'd want to do that ...but it's a thought.

You should be able to change that text in the User CP after 10 posts, check to see if the options there :)

and as for Sci-fi chat - well with a name like 'Picard' we attract a certain 'type' as it were - check out the seti forum :D
