Hi guys,

If you are using a notebook with ATI Mobility Radeon 7500, here is the new driver from IBM. I have tested and it works GREAT!!!

Hi guys,

The new driver rocks!! It boots the 3DMAX2001SE up 500. Now, I am at 4885 with my ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 32MB P4 1.6 SONY notebook:)

Hi Silver. I saw one of those Sony P4 with Radeon 7500 at a local puter store. Thats one sweet piece of equipment. Tell me do those laptops get hot? How is it for crashing or locking up? What are your thoughts on the unit as a whole, for gaming and battery life and such?

Hi,

I am buying this notebook as a desktop replacement, not as a real portable computer. The only reason I pick SONY is because they are the only one company that equip with 16.1" LCD and use good Mobility Radeon 7500. The only bad was it was equip with only 32MB of RAM instead of 64MB. But the performance wont be much different. I have no problem at all playing CS with the new driver install. 3DMAX2001SE 4885 score wasn't bad at all. 16X CDRW which is another good feature. Battery last around 2.15 hours. Sweet notebook.

BTW, the notebook is perfectly stable. It came with Win XP Home edition, but I upgrade to XP Pro myself.(need remote and multi-language function). The default use NTSF which is good:) I have this notebook on for almost 3 weeks now (without turning off) and I also overclock the video card:) It has build in dual fans for CPU and AGP. Since it is base on 0.13 tech, so heating wasn't a big issue.
