Hi Wes,

Your friend is pulling your leg.
Do you realize what 151C temp really is in F?
If my ballpark calclations are correct, that is about 380 Degrees F.
Lets see water boils at 212 degrees F, so.......I don't think so!!

Take care....

lechumbl,
I realize that, actully it's around 280F. I don't think he's pulling my leg.... I sent him sis sandra and he installed it . I told him to go to the CPU and BIOS info and it said cpu temp 151C and System temp was normal around 36C. Could Sandra be way off or something...I'll try gettin a screen shot... I know it sounds impossable but i beleve that he's telling me what Sandra is saying.

Hi Wes,

Actually 151C is 303.80F
Sounds to me like he is misreading the temp at 151 C, instead of 151 F. Then the Celcius temp would be 66.11
That would be within a high, but normal temp.

I have never known Sandra to be that far off. It is off a little, but never that much.

Take care........

EDIT: I also forgot to add that Intel PIII 500 runs cooler than an AMD 500, and my AMD 500 is running at 46C, running SETI at 24/7.

If it were reaching that kind of temperature, the chances are it wont be working for very long. So I find it hard to believe it.

Try another monitoring program, like MBM (http://mbm.livewiredev.com/) and see what that says.

Thinking more, if the board has temp monitoring, there is often a display accessable in the BIOS, try looking there too.

you sure he actually has a temp sensor on the cpu? i dont, and sandra still shows up as my cpu running at 233C/433F... ??
