Hi DCMan,
I would say that if you are getting TV signals, then the drivers that XP has installed are correct.
As fa as the "how to", I would do as search on www.yahoo.com or www.goggle.com, using the chipset and see what comes up.
Once you get who makes it, then you can go to their website and download the software to run it and be able to set up programs to watch, etc.
Take care........

yea - thats the problem... i'm not getting Tv signals.. and if i search for the chipset thing, there are about 4 million people who use it (maybe a slight exageration there...)
thanx so far, tho.

u aint exagerating, most TV tuner card makers use that chipset, is there nothing printed on the PCB itself to indicate manufacturer???

Try www.driverguide.com and if the card has a FCC id on it or any other numbers you can search on them, it is quite likely that driverguide will have the driver.

ok... looked all over the card.. no FCC id on it anywhere. is there any way of finding out the maker of the card, apart from the FCC id?
would be very nice to get it working, especially as it was a freebie!!!
hehe

Just have a try on driverguide.com, any numbers on chips are a good start, you usually get the right driver after trying about 5.
I mainly use it when we do a fresh install on our old office machines and most of the time you have no idea of what make/model evrything is.
