Finally got all the data off my disks and got RAID setup...trouble is XP won't recognize the array...I know it's there it shows up during the boot.
Do I need to re-install the OS at this point to get XP to recognize the array? Or am I missing something else (I installed the HP drivers).
Thanks

Sorry...
Here goes...I installed this Mobo about two weeks ago, w/ 3 HDs...(2 80GB WDs and 1 20GB IBM). I originally setup XP on one of the WDs. I finally got all the data off of the WDs so I could set up an array. I then put the WDs on the raid controller and installed XP on the IBM. After a clean install I went back and setup the raid array on the two WD drives. Since the OS is on a separate disk I was hoping I wouldn't have to reinstall it. The bios recognizes my array, but I can't get it to show up under XP.
Anything else you need.

Just a thought. I flashed the bios to upgrade it to 7G and highpoint v2.31 using the download from Paul's site. Do I need to get an updated driver from somewhere to get this thing to work? If so where?
Thanks again.

you need to get it to come up under device manager as an scsi device. Try choosing install new hardware... "scsi device" and then point it to the drivers you downloaded. I think that should be it... but I haven't been able to get everything perfect yet, though it will work.

Ok, I got it to show the raid controllers and the raid device under disk drives. But the drive still doesn't show up...when I click on disk drive-->hpt37x raid 0...-->properties-->volumes-->populate
it finds the right amount of space, but tells me the disk is not initialized.
Do I need to install a non-microsoft driver for the actual raid disk(s). Or do I need to initialize the disk somehow?

Finally got it! Completely forgot about running Fdisk/Disk Management.
I can't believe that's not even mentioned in any instructions I looked at. I feel stupid for not thinking of it, but still it should have been mentioned in instructions somewhere.
Thanks for the help.
