anyone know of a nice little utility that does this.
i can convert them in winamp if i want to listen to them, but as i REALLY dont want to listen to them, i would rather it does it in the background
any ideas???

hmmm...professionally speaking it means useing a second device to record the output....usually with an expander/compressor etc.
You may be able to select the midi out to be the active recording channel and record it while it plays with a wave proggy (soundforge or wavelab....or soundcard software if you have it) .I will look into straitforward conversion later if i have some time!
