Gainward Ti4600

Ok - has just got the Gainward ti4600 and have noticed when i first boot up my machine i get like snow effect (like bad tv recpetion) through the boot up and when my os starts (XP PRO) only when i first start my pc - ok i load the driver cd in and away it goes - asks me what i want to install - so i choose drivers and EXPERTool. Now the drivers and expertool seem to work fine after the reboot - so i check expertool and check direct x info - Direct X vers. 0 installed??? ok - very strange i thought xp came with 8.1. Forget about that and carry on to another tab on expertool and check my information for everything - and it says i have XP Home edition.
Hmmm - ok - so i try 3dmark and it doesnt run says it has an error with my vid card.
So i do i fresh install of windows and the same thing - so next time i just use the latest nvidia drivers and try running 3d mark - works - try loading expertool and the same info. dx 0 and xp home?
Any ideas??

how bout doing a fresh install and then installing the Nvidia ref. drivers. Now, instead of installing the Expertool install somin like NVmax which i assume will do much the same as the Expertool, NVmax allows overclocking and all sort of other options...hope this helps some...its sounds like ther is a conflict between the drivers and the Expertool app...
