Fan Help

Hello I recently bought an http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/del80ffb08123.html
80mm Delta fan @ 5700RPMS and 52dba I need a way to quiet this fan way to loud any suggestions, tips
Fan:
10.80W
.90Amp
12v Dc

This fan does kick some ass just loud I had a cpu temp of 26.00 C the other day on a
MCX462swifttech mounted with this fan and AMDxp2000. (Room temp of 65 F to 70F)

Could someone point me in the direction of a good electronics site that sells Rheostats that can handle this fan guess that’s it I thank you NO! My ears thank you

you can either get a variable resistor from maplins, radio shack where ever and stick that in the 12v line, or you an wire it so that its working off the 5v line (some people manage 7v, but i havent worked out how yet)

the other option is get get a quiter fan to do the job, like a ys-tech or a panaflow

or, you could get yourself a fan adapter and stuck either a 92mm fan on, or a monster 120mm fan to shift load of air

take the red wire from the fan on the hsf and connect it to the yellow wire of the molex connector. Then hook the black wire from the fan to the red wire on the molex connector and Boom, you have 7volts. it should quiet it down a bit.
