Having finally got my PC going again after another month off, I have been REALLY PI$$ED OFF to have it crash 8-10 times last night! The majority of these crashes have been on loading IE6. Basically it opens the window, draws it, and then locks the whole system solid :( Solid as in, the normal XP "I crashed so I'll retstart myself", doesn't even work ... it just hangs
I've had similar problems in the past, related to Vid drivers I think (can't remember), and it would end up BSODing with a "couldn't complete draw operation" error. But this time its not showing that.

It basically means I don't dare surf the net at home because I have to reset my machine if it crashes like this. Anyone had this sorta crash and found a solution? I'll be changing back to the last XP certified Det drivers and maybe trying that IE6 SP1 if I can find a d/l link that works

OOOOOoookkkaayyy ...

I now can't even open IE without instant lockup!!!

I have tried installing two different versions of the IE SP1 ...but it gives the message "This porgram has not passed Windows Logo testing and will not be installed" , or similar.

Is there a way around this>? Surely everyone elese would have had the same problem and not been able to install it if there wasn't a way!

Heeeeellllpppp .... having to use **** PC for IE access :(
