I need some kind of software( or set ) which is able to handle pictures taken by camera. I mean resize them, make them "lighter" for internet use, be able to print a set/collection of different pictures on the same photopaper sheet... etc.

Hi there,
depends on your budget I suppose but The Gimp is a completely free and very comprehensive image editing program available here
http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32//
It only used to be for linux but now its ported to windows as well.

IMO you can't get much better than paint shop pro, it has a lot (if not all) the features of photoshop, and is much easier to use. MS Picture It! is nice but if you want any sort of flexibility then in about 30mins you can have PSP pretty much sussed. I have been using it for years, despite obtaining photoshop I still use paint shop pro all the time. www.jasc.com lets you download a trial version. :)
also there is a drop down menu with just functions to automatically fix photos :)

PSP is quite good.Havent tried others since i got that one.Didnt need to.
Photoshop and some others are for more detailed and difficult work.Certainly not for mainly resizing ,adding brightness, contrast etc.

PSP for sure unless you want really serious creative capabilities from Photoshop but PSP will do 90% at much less $$$ and FAR easier to use.
Have fun !

Yep, I'd agree with that, PSP is really easy to use. My son loves the bit where you can put spiders all over the screen

Thnx are also coming to lechumbl for suggesting Adobe. Looking at it now. Might stop at Adobe Photoshop Elements.

I've trialed that Adobe Photshop Elements .... seems quite nice ..basically a 'lite' version of Photoshop it seems.
