Hi Chaps,
I want to transfer all my friends emails and his address book from outlook express to his new machine.......What is the easiest way to do this?

i posed the same question over in the seti forum

copying the .dbx files did work too :)

you can find them in..

documents and settings\*username*\local settings\application data\identities\*some long number*\microsoft\outlook express


(or do a search for inbox.dbx)

on your new machine create the same account (you can do this by exporting/inporting an iaf file in the accounts toolbox) then close down OE completly - which is easyer said then done, you may actually need to restart the machine - then copy over the dbx files.

The address book is under Tools|Address book... - simply export the .wab

The repair pst (http://www.oemailrecovery.com/pst-repair.html) and recovery outlook express email (http://www.mail-repair.com/mail-recovery-service.html) has prompted you a path of the Outlook Express files' storage. And now save the damaged dbx files in the safe folder, they can be useful.
