MPEG Conversion

I have very large Mpeg 2 files (3gb). I would like to convert them to Mpeg4(would save a great number of space.) I am not worried about how fast. I just want a way to convert it. Even if it has to be convert a couple times. Any help would be great. Link if possible.

personally i use Virtual dub, prolly not as easy, but has lots of natty features :)

WOW 1.37Gb ----> 117mb at crapiest setting. :) I am currently trying the best setting for Divx will let you know. I am hoping they are about 335-400mb. This is great.
