Shellexe.exe????

Sometimes and for no reason I can figure out yet something called shellexe starts running in the background and runs my cpu @100%. When I see it I go to task mgr. and kill it with no bad effects. I just wonder what the F it is. Anyone seen this? I'm running XP corp 2600 on the ASUS box.

You might want to run your virus checker.
Running 2600 pro here and I have no such file anywhere on my system.

The only thing similar is on my sons Harry Potter CD called "Shellexecute.exe". This is a freebie CD that was given away with HP printer cartidges and it is a graphics prog that creates cards, posters, pictures etc with a Harry Potter theme. But that doesn't start by itself, in fact it does nothing if I double click it.

It only pops up after I play red faction or giants so it might be something hanging. I ran norton from the server but it didn't pick up anything but I'll update and run again.
