I can't remember far enough back to tape, but for the old '45 singles, I think mine might have been Kylie's I should be so lucky. Yes, I bought it!
Album wise, again I can't be sure, but it was probably one of the Now series when they were still in single figures :D
CDs... Probably another of the Now series, now in double figures.

I can't remember far enough back for tapes (never had any $ back then anyway) but I distincly remember the first CD I bought: R.E.M.'s "Out of Time." Good choice for me - I have every REM album from Green on up, and I'm working on the ones before Green... ;)

My first CD was a complilation called Awsome 3 wish I still had it, i dropped my portable CD player and smashed it along with the CD. Doh! :(

Hehe this is really going back but my very first album was the Beatles Sgt. Peppers. I still remember my dad taking me up to the music store to buy it. He was a Stones fan though so really had some rock-n-roll to base my taste on at a very early age. :D
Then anyone remember how HUGE it seemed at the time, Framptons Comes Alive LP was? Seems that everyone I knew owned that.
I also remember as a kid (talking around Kg time)watching the old I believe it was capital perhaps I'll have to check one of my old LPs
the color label going round. Good thing I didnt know what drugs were.

Ok that got me rooting through my old stuff and yes it was Capital records that had the color strip. I also found some of my old Stones LP on London Record labels. Decembers Children is actually a Mono record. but it says that On stereophonic equipment, the monaural sound obtained through the utilization of multiple channels will greatly enhance your listening pleasure.
Hehe Dad must have moved up later on because I have got Live if you want it! also on London label but its in Stereo :D

Ok lets really trip the light fantastic. Anyone ever have or their folks have a serious set up including Reel to Reel? That was supposed to be the bomb. :D I have one somewhere but doubt that it still works anymore. I also have an old Olsen 8-track player too but that quit working long ago. Not to mention that my 8-tracks look like they fell into a pile of oil.
