Does anyone have a GameCube...

And if so is it any good, and wots it like compared with the X-Box and PS2?...any good games on the horizon??...Any info appreciated....after my recent let down with the X-Box i am looking to the GameCube for some hope...

I have a game cube, have had it for a few months now and i thoroughly enjoy it. And within the last week or so some good new games have been showing up. And there are a lot of good ones in the future especially Since Final Fantasy will be coming back to nintendo.

I love my gamecube, lots of good games coming soon. Ps2 is pretty good too, although the graphics arent as good. Xbox...well, I have a PC so i dont need the xbox :)

thanks for the input guys, yeah bought and X-Box played it all night, wasnt impressed (ie was not willing to pay that much for such little difference between it and my PC) and took it back...i think i will get a game cube when its launched here...thanks again...any other advice much appreciated...

Rumor has it through the trade mags that Capcom is reconsidering making RE Gamecube-only unless they increase their sales... which is not a good sign. I'd give the GC a bit more time to see if they can increase the market share...

On a side note - I picked up a PS2 a couple weeks ago, and must say I'm pleased with the graphics (have GTA3 and Maximo and have played other games/demos). They might not be quite as good as on my comp, but they're just fine for games. I like my console games a bit more "console-y" anyways...

X-box sucks, especially in the US, with the huge Fsking
controllers (http://www.penny-arcade.com/view2001-11-28rl.html) . Really, they are HUGE (http://www.penny-arcade.com/view2002-03-25rl.html) !

Anyway, get a Gamecube and 4 controllers and a copy of Super Smash Brothers:Melee. You wont be sorry.

A question about GC spec's....all of you who have one will know...aer the buttons on the GC analogue???...coz that is somin the XBox and PS2 have going for them...analogue buttons are gr8 especially for racing games...

The L and R buttons are analog, as well as the control stick. The rest of the buttons are digital.
