(They make up the rules as they go along!!!)

Have just had my motorbike insurance renewal come through, from Carol Nash Ltd. :xphoton: An increase of £161.45 for no good reason other than the fact that my bike is on the street in London and not in a garage! :(

And it's always been on the street! Although I've made NO claims since taking to the road, it turns out that my insurer, Equity Red Star Motorcycle :xblast:, has artibitrarily decided to withdraw ALL their policies for bikes in London not garaged - ie. us 'common' folk! And the new quote from Norwich Union :xrocket: is insulting - it's more than half what I paid for the bike itself!!!

B*ggers..!

Can anyone please suggest some alternatives to Carol Nash? I'll mention you personally if that'll help knocking a few squids of your policy, by way of a thank you...

Thats pretty bad Gypseyman :(

I'm gonna copy this thread to the Bikes & Cars Forum, to see if you get any more response on the Insurance deals ;)

...keep it in the house.
Oo-er, not sure the missus would appreciate that..! ;)

Well... it's not really a bike... Not when compared to some of fine machines that I see some of you guys have! :D

It's a KMX125. '86 import (de-restricted). Goes like spit and sounds it too (the ubiquitous DepSport exhaust...)!!!

But I have my sights set on a KTM 640 Adventurer, mainly because I intend taking off to far-flung corners of the world later this year. Hopefully, it'll be a new purchase within the next few months. Will probably keep the KMX, though, as it's perfect for around London...

(Wonder who I can pass my crunching machines onto..?!) :D
