Is this legal in the UK, im guessing not.
Im guessing big fines and a posible ban.
and yes I have just watched fast and the furious and it would be nice in the 2ltr bi-turbo westfield that i am going to start building this summer.
I could do with knowing this asap b4 i send my parts list off to westfield.
Thanks

ohhhhhhhhhhh,
now i'm drooling :)
from what i gather, it is legal in this country, and from memory you can buy complete kits and install them in your car.
they come with jets for 25/50/75 bhp and more.
the last time i saw anything about it was in the max power type of mag, so i wouldnt have a clue where to start now.
when you get it built, mind if i have a play mate :)

I seem to recall from the mists of time that for a reliable NO setup, a reduced compression ratio was required, otherwise it was a case of Whiss - Bang ( I`ll get me coat ! )
Personally the westfield is such a stonker off the line even with relatively low output power units, I don`t think you need the added complication of NO.

Seeing as you inform me that it is infact legal, which was a very pleasent supprise. I see no reason why you cant have a go when i have finished building it. You only live down the road anyway. Wont be for about a year tho :(
Im hoping to ween 170bhp out of the 2.0 ltr zetec block 70bhp out of the small turbos and 100bhp out of the nitrous. Im aiming for around 340bhp in a car that weighs less than a mini and handles like a ferrari. all for under 10k :)
Im going to kill myself arent I, right after turning my pants a nice shade of brown.
Im going to go and consult some technical boffins and find out what is do-able and how much it is going to cost. I want to get the 0-60 under 4 seconds the standard 2l zetec does it in 5.4
Thanks lads, watch this forum towards the end of summer when i start with the progress reports.

fusion,
if your going to turbo the zetec, why not just get the cosworth block and the 4x4 drive train for a 60 sprint of sub 4 seconds (seem to remember reading a 0-100-0 test with a dax that had 400bhp and 4x4 and it did th lot in 13.2 seconds)

These cars have very small engine bays and they only are designed to house only certain car and bike engines. Also I read that someone has managed to get a 4x4 westfield but i think he used 2 bike engines or something bizzar like that, it did 0-60 in 3 seconds. I need to keep the costs down as well as I want to purchase a new engine in order for it not to be a Q plate.
Thanks

Sweeeeet.
The only major worry is you have to inform the insurance co. try tripling your current quote :(
I have a friend with a Caterham 7 (similar sort of thing) Very Gucci bit of kit. click here (http://www.caterham.co.uk/) for info :)

I believe if you have nitrous you are supposed (SUPPOSED, never seen it) to have one of those green stickers saying you have compressed gas on board.
However never known anyone get done for not having it.
