right, knackered me car, so time to buy a new one

suggestions please on th 2 following criteria

£3000, fastish, 3 door, and low insurance

£5500 - £6000, GTI type material

both need to be fairly small cars, but not mini type small. both must be sutible for long motorway jounries, and plentyof boot space for me stereo!

I'd either go Alfa (fun) or Audi (solid). But some ideas.
