the company who used to make distribute the uk boomslang stopped selling them i cant quite rem who it was it was someone like logitech or labtec, but i know for a fact they stopped selling them coz i wanted one a while back :( the new ms opti aint too shoddy tho if u want a UK alternative, i used to throw away mice every 3 months but this one has only jsut started showing signs of crapness after over a year :-)
