help w/ riging a car neon

Hello. This is my first time posting here so please be kind. I just bought a blacklight for a car to put in my case. I thought it would no problem just wire the +&- right and it should light. Well I get nothing. I figured it was 12v so it's all cool. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

neons power wire goes to the yellow and neons black wire goes to the black:D

I'm running a blue 5 inch car neon wired exactly as AMD Man said, works fine :)

Well that's how I got it set up.I even tried switching the leads just in case I got it worong. sitll nothing. one way I get noise from the transformer, the other, nothing.Looks like I got a bad one.I knew I should've checked it before I hacked the connector.Time to warm up the soldering iron so I can return the p.o.s.:mad:
