Hi All,

Pricewatch has the Athlon XP2000+ for $340.00 US, plus shipping.

I don't know if they are in stock, or this is a future order price.

They are supposed to be released this month, but have not heard of release date.

Just thought I'd let you all know, so you can jump on them, and make the smaller XP chips cheaper, they I can afford to get one.

Have fun!!

They should be arriving most places after the 10th. I guess Ill have to grab one after the prices come down to reality to replace the RIP XP :)

I need to put this old 1400 back out to pasture and hit 2000mhz :)

cant get it to run at 2000 yet... what temperatures are you running at to hit 1920??? what is the max post cpu speed youve achieved.

My XP1800 did 1920 at about...15-20c.

Maximum post speed? I dont know...ran outta multipliers ;) I was able to get up to 2075 and get in to windows...although it bugged out after that.

what do you think you would have to change to be stable at 2000mhz? 3 degree water or something close?

XPEEEEEEEE

I can't justify it, my little slot rig is still plenty powerful for the remedial programming and miscellaneous games/office **** I do on it. I'm not upgrading till I can get a hammer@3billion jigahertz. hehe ;)

Nah...its really not the temperature holding me back so much as the CPU. I mean I nearly have a 400mhz overclock. It could be the motherboard holding me back as well. I dunno. Better temperatures might help but...maybe at -10c or something.
