http://hwfaq.overclockersonline.com/

search term: "unlock" (13 links found)

follow the links titled "AMD Unlock"

XP unlock is not really what you need ;)

hi All,

I just get the information that multiplyer unlocking should be works as than earlier.....I haven't try that yet...
I just finish trying different OS vs 3DMark2000 with same bios settings, so I change every settings in BIOS what I can so long as the computer stay a stable, first I change all SDRAM setting so far that I get maximum result at 3DMark2000, then same things to CPU and AGP settins, I still use default processor speed....so 1200Mhz
I try Win98SE, WinME, WinXP.....every OS works fine, the XP was "slowest" and between ME vs 98 no big differencies...
When I start the processor overclocking 98 works stable only 1200-1260MHZ, XP works 1200-1296 and the ME was greatest I can use it up to 1320MHz..so this overclocking was made whitout unlock multiplyer...so it was 12x110

Let's see what happens when I unlock it...

Abit KT7A, 256 PCI-133, Duron 1200@1320, Creative geforce 2 Pro

All those tests I have made with default core voltages and using only air cooling

And the points are 8011 with 3DMark2000
