I would like to develop a ranking system for Ninja UT games. This way we can keep track of who is leading the pack :)
Anyway, if any of you are interested in being ranked, this is what I need you to do. Please send COMPRESSED (GIF or JPEG) screenshots of the end of game score tallys. Email them to me at player0@foxbits.com. I will use the screen shots to compile a ranking system. Please follow the following rules:
1.) Please don't send me more than 3 screen shots per day. So choose your best games to send me. Please include your UT name in the email.
2.) Please keep the filesize small. It only needs to be good enough quality for me to beable to read the scores. Please do not crop any text from the Tally, as I need it all.
3.) Please name the screenshots something useful, like "Codex-1-45pm.jpg". The name of the level and estimated time of play will help me weed out duplicates.
3.) There must be at least one other Ninja clan member that participated for the whole game. I will not accept scores with only one Ninja present, or if the Ninjas in question did not participate the entire game (I will accept "Time" numbers within 1-2 points, and if the person with the lower play time wins, I will certainly count that).
4.) The players must have the [Ninja] (or similar) tag in their names for me to recognize them, unless there is a known exception.
5.) There is no reason to send me a screen shot if you were the lowest scoring Ninja on the board. There is also no need to send me a screenshot of a game you know someone else is sending me the same screenshot of. Dups will happen though, and I will weed them out manually :) Just try and help it if you can.
Screenshots should be available via the F9 key. Please besure to convert them to JPG with a graphics program. Jasc.com offers paintshop pro which is more than adequate for doing this, and works okay as shareware. ACDSee does this as well. Take your pick.
I havent *quite* solidified a ranking structure yet, but it will probably be Point Margins/# of games played.
Anyway, if anyone else has input, I would be glad to listen. In the mean time, I would like to give this ranking thing a try. So start sending me screen shots :)
Please post any questions you may have here. Rankings will be updated maybe weekly or bi-weekly on a sticky thread.
Thanks!
