what are these names? Moderator? Sponsor ect. i dont know what they mean, ive been looking for a place that tells me, havent had much luck. so if anyone can tell me alittle more about them... then please do. thx

i am a sponsor, i sponser Ninjamicros (well have done).

Moderators, moderate the board - i.e. tell you off and edit you post if you write things like **** and ****.

Admins administrate, they can control the boards like setting up new forums and the like and also tell you off for writing things like **** and ****.

What Are Moderators?
Moderators oversee specific forums. They generally have the ability to edit and delete posts, move threads, and perform other manipulations. Becoming a moderator for a specific forum is usually rewarded to users who are particularly helpful and knowledgable in the subject of the forum they are moderating.
And you have to give them gold & fine wine & cake

I may have made that last bit up, but its a pretty good one, if you ask me :D

ADMINS - including the likes of Ridcully - proof if any where needed that being insane sheep pimp hoe daddy does not exclude you from positions of authoritaaa

MODS - too many drunkard reprobates to name here but generally good cheese when sober --- which is not often.

Sponsors - well were really up above ADMINS but im feeling generous ;) the group includes those with more money than sense and many of a more charitable disposition (ok just me then) - i shouldnt linger on this most fascinating and intelligent groups of individuals present on the forum - comprised of the most humorous and informed peeps on the entire planet - and not all nutty as a fruitcake .. buggrit millenium shrimp...

oh.... and postie plebs. (heart and soul of the forum)

Here is the break down as I see it:
Fluke: all powerfull hard working ninja board god that keeps the board together :D
mods/admins: enforcers for the ninja god, see to it that all is well in the ninja world. monitor our activities.
sponsors: people that have had the means to be able to give back to the ninja god (after all the bbs software and bandwith are not free you know, someone has to pay for the licensing and stuff, not fair that it should all fall on one man since we all get to share in it)

but we just broke the 50,000 post mark...not sure on views though. We have roughly 800 so members....great community!

i seem to remember numbers like 6Gb a day being said a while back when we moved over to vbulletin i think it's gone down now because vbulletin is smaller

mods and admins get selected on spirit more than anything i guess... if they are knowledgeable and friendly and promote the friendlyness of the board then they get selected... oh it helps if they know a little about computers too :D
