In comparision to part 1 and part 2, the core gameplay is still exactly the same. They only added new maps, missions, and units. The graphics have been upgraded......quite a bit actually.
When i played it, there was no support for windows XP so make sure that it is now compatible with xp(that of course, if you have xp!! hehehe).
Personally i am not a big fan of these type of games(strategic games/top-down games/age of empire-ish games/etc). But my brother is, and he enjoyed this game a bit. If you are into multiplayer games, when i played this it was EXTREMELY unstable and virtualy impossible to play(on a cable modem nontheless). But keep in mind, this game came out near the end of October, so things are probably a lot mroe stable now.
The story to the game is very involving...a lot more involving than the first two games. It definitely captured my attention(but not enough to get me through the game....hey, i had to move onto other games!heheh).
Also, there were quite a few bugs when i first played this, but this can probably be corrected by a patch. This game definitely falls into my 'hey, not bad game' category.......for 30(or less bucks) it is more than worth it. For more than 30, i would probably pass.
If you have other games you want me to compare it to(other games you are considering to purchase), let me know.

Yes, i am fourteen lol. Yes, i do have xp pro.... no need to apologize for before, it was kinda a dumb statement anyway. ive been like obsessed with tech since i was o say 7 so im quite interested in more in-depth technology.
i wasnt very strong on buying myth three anyway,,, so im glad its not really cool lol. i agree, i like multiplayer games better, or at least rpg, that you can play with other people such as DFLW, Rainbow six, ect. those are my fav, although i do like red alert type games, those ive been faithful to for at least 4 years.
have you heard of any new games lately? that would make your "worth more than 30 dollars" list? lol
thx

everquest is a weird game. you can only play it online and you have to pay like 10 bucks a month or something like that. its a rpg, i don't remember what kind of veiw it is. nick, you would probably like it except the 10 bucks a month thing. but knowing you, you would be on it constantly (if you liked it).

Arsonist described Everquest pretty accurately. Personally, i played the game tons: probably 4 hours+ a day for over 2 years!!!! The game is basically a FirstPerson game...viewed from the eyes of your character. You can change the view, but i rarely if ever did.
It is more of a mythology game......elves, trolls, dwarfs, etc. Basically you create your character(pick a name, a race, a class(mage, warrior, wizard, bard, rogue, etc), pick what you want him to look like(his initial look...you can buy clothes, get armor, etc to change your clothinglook), etc). You start off at level 1...and you basically just kill monsters to gain levels(just like a typical rpg game). But you have a whole world to explore and there are thousands of other players available to chat with and group with(you will need to group with others to fight some of the bigger monsters, and venture into some of the deepest dungeons and such).
The game has been out for around 4 years and is still going strong(i am assuming considering they just released a new expansion pack). It does cost 10 dollars a month to play, but personally, every dollar was worth it. I met a lot of good people and had some great times(not to mention failed a lot of exams because of a priority problem..hehe).
Considering your computer(i forget your specs, forgive me), i am going to guess that your computer will not be up to par with the new requirements. EQ now REQUIRES 256mb of ram, and some other crazy stuff...........

If you are into the "age of empire' type games....my brother and I are currently playing a game called 'empire earth'. Ill keep you updated...so far i am quite drawn in by the game!

Arsonist

freddies is probably the best place to buy EQ. they have like 3 expansions for it. i was wondering what the veiw type was. i was thinking about baldurs gate i think cuz i was thinking it was like an above veiw.

Jet runner.....EQ is a first person game....here are a few screen shots. Keep in mind, i am not hyping this game due to its graphics. In fact, the graphics will not blow your socks off. it is the whole online community and environment that are the strong points.
