Terminal Error

I removed linux a while ago because LILO wouldn't boot. it had "LI" and that was all (which means it had trouble starting itself or something....i don't know..i don't care)

anyways. i tried removing it by FDISK /MBR.....no luck.
so i tried booting from my XP install disk and from the repair console FIXMBR....no luck their either.

HOW THE HELL DO I REMOVE IT??

The only way that I could remove it was by doing a Low-Level format of my HDD. Hope that helps.

Fixed it!

i used symantec's GDISK to remove it.
GDISK comes with Norton Ghost.

ok,
boot into dos with boot disk (with gdisk on it)
run gdisk
it will tell you the partitions you have and disks.

then you type "GDISK *insert disk number with lilo on it* /MBR /WIPE"
or you can just try "GDISK /?" to get the switches and so on.

WARNING! - gdisk removes all current partitions (and data)..so if you have data on them backup or move it to another drive. if you already have ghost , just ghost it.
