Boot XP & ME using 2 drives?

I have XP on my newer 100 UDMA C drive and currently use my older 66 UDMA hard drive just for storage, jumpered as a slave on the secondary IDE. I would like to make the old drive bootable and install ME on the old drive to run some older sims that aren't compatible with XP. Aside from moving the jumpers and connecting the old drive to the secondary master plug, reformating and loading the os, what's involved in a dual drive boot. Are there any dangers, cautions or pitfalls? How do I go about the setup?
