i have also been down that koolance-should i buy it road. and i always seem to get the same general opinions that it isnt worth it compared to either building a water setup yourself, or of course the vapochill route. i hear that it is just too low-end and "weak" as far as what you get. so i never purchased one.

buy your own parts...no decent kits. the new koolance isnt bad...but...you can do better, cheaper.

Nooo!! ...build your own kit, much more fun and you can choose the best of each part rather than settle for a average setup like the koolance.

Hi TThoRnGen,
Actually I went to Federal Way, WA and did a hands on and to tell you the truth...DON'T.
The water tubes are 1/4 inch and it is not recommended for overclocking, according to the manufacturor and sales people.
It is VERY pretty and quiet, but it will not cool a CPU of any size. I saw it with a 1 gig, running a test prog and the temp was bouncing between 37 and 39 degrees C. To me, this is too high to be any use, and when you increase your CPU to XP1900 or whatever..........
They have made some improvements to the KooLance II version, but, is still not worth 200.00 bucks.
Many on this thread have said to build your own water cooling.
You can do this from a few dollars spent at Home Depot, to buying a very good kit from AquaStealth that is top of the line for $154.00.
Check out this link: http://becooling.safeshopper.com/1/cat1.htm?108 .
Have fun and let us know results.

Hi Again,
I have the AquaStealth II kit with the Lexan mount.
As you can see from my signature, it makes a system run pretty cool.
You can also pick up kits from Danger Den, and blocks too.
Am I a cop?........No, I am a Hardware/Software/Electronics Engineer. I just look "official".......it comes with age and no hair!!

Hey There,
Is it loud?....No the kit is quiet......but the 5 94 MM fans, the 5 40 MM fans, and the 1 120 MM fan I have in my new Server case sure are.

Hey,
Check private mail for message.
The photos that I have are too big to fit the parameters of Ninja.

Hi Again TThoRnGen,
The water cooling in the pics is the Aquastealth II kit.
See, it fits nicely in a miniTower case.
I have two 92MM fans on the lower side of the case for cool draw, two 92MM fans on back to remove hotter air, one 92 MM on top for more hot air removal.
I have two 40 MM fans on each of my 2 SCSI drives, and a 40MM on my bridge.
The 120MM fan is on the radiator in the Aquastealth II kit.
As you can see from the pics, the temps on the dual thermo are very low.
For all, the pics were sent private mail, as they are way too big to fit on Ninja...I wish I could show you all what my "toy" looks like.
