Hi,
I would buy a Lian-Li PC70 case and a Enermax 550W PSU but then again I am biased :D ( check my sig)

I like the sound of that combination.

Where did you get them from?

I got to agree the LianLi cases are schweet :D but if you got the dosh then check out the Coolermaster ATCS range or Scan's Alumax ( from www.scan.co.uk ). My friend has a Coolermaster and the thing is a work of art but I can't help thinking after £300 gone on a case + nice PSU why not go all the way and get yourself a Vapochill

Well the case will cost you 200-300 bucks and a 550 psu 100 bucks easy why not save a little more cash and get a vapochill case 700.00 because if you water cool that case later on you'll spend 200-300 if you want the best parts. The vapochill case is the ultimate case and refrigation system.

Wow, you guys don't mess around. I'm the guy hunting around on eBay for a case in the under $50 range ;) . Now, I'm looking at converting an old metal waste paper basket instead. The power supply may be trickier...

OK, in real life, have you looked at the Virtual Hideout (sorry, I forget the URL)? They have some sweet case mods. I also really like Alienware's cases, just because of their fan covers.

Got one!

Thanks for thae advice guys,

I took the plunge and got a sweet deal at Maplins.

A Lian Li 60-USB and a 400watt PSU all for £149.99

The voltages on my 5v Rail have gone from 4.37v (300w) to 4.84v(400w). I'd say that the Epox MoBo is very power hungry as attested to in the many posts on these pages.

The CPU's at 40c right now, it used to be about 38c using the coolermaster 6H11 HSF but the case did have 6 x 80mm fans on it and sounded like it was about to take off. Playing Unreal took the CPU temp to 44c previously, but an hours play now and it doesn't get past 42c.

The case was a dream to put together and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to upgrade. Just be carefull if you need to dremmel, it'd be easy to mark the case quite horrendously.

Now, has anyone got any ideas on how to change the facias of CD/DVD/FDDs to aluminum to match an ali case? (manufacturers, take note).

Thanks again, Guys.:)
