New Beta Santa Cruz Windows 2000/XP drivers here

Turtle Beach has posted new Win2k/XP Beta Santa Cruz drivers. They're dated 11-30-2001 and are version 4127.

were you haveing problems with the other drivers in XP Mike?

Nope, no trouble really. There was one bug in the old driver effecting the scandisk routine under XP though. If you ran scandisk under Win XP the system could BSOD choking over a Santa Cruz DLL file. It happned to me when I ran scandisk at XP boot up. There was an easy workaround suggested by TB(disabling the soundcard in device manager, then running scandisk, then just re-enable).

I can confirm the new driver fixes that issue completely. In addition the new driver is further optimised for XP lowering CPU utilization.

I have a turtle beach Montego II quadzilla and after xp upgrade the rear channels stopped working went to TB's website looking for xp drivers to correct the problem. They confirm this hardware will not support 4 channel sound in a xp os. So at they're website they offer a upgrade/discount solution on a santa cruz. After the reply from the email this is their deal 10% off the cost of a santa cruz. No Thanks TurtleBeach while they make very good soundcards I know I could find a better one in the 90.00 price range. It seems the better company's like ATI offer free xp drivers and all the rest want to charge you 20.00 for driver upgrades just to make another buck. Case and point PowerDvD no longer works unless I buy a gold xp upgrade for 29.99, Easy Cd creator versions older than 4.0, 50.00 xp upgrade.
