Lil math project that has it's own gui client.
Will automatically utilise dual cores.....priority adjustable.

Still early stages but has been reliable enough....one to watch :)

I tried it sharing with dual boinc and it plays nice 50%/25%/25%.

So is easy enough to run alongside other stuff.

So far there are 21 teams and about 6000 completed work units in all.
No major project problems to report as yet. :)

Does that mean you have it in mind to add it?

AMD Users have a major presence there and have done a pretty good job of testing it.

The only possible thing I could say against it is that the client updates have come thick and fast.
But then, one could look at the refining of the client as a good thing so even that isn't really a minus.

No data is lost in the update process, it has been pretty seamless and can be done directly from the client.
Takes a mere few seconds and then the current WU continues from where it left off.

I have every project in mind to add mate.. Just need the people's to tell the whats-what

So far so good. They seems to have more than 1 client, I haven't tried the multicore yet, but the 1 CPU seems to work good.

I'm running 2 multi-core & 1 single core clients. 1 Multicore is running Vista & the other running XP Pro. The single core is running XP Pro. Have no rigs running anything other than MS OS's. All seems well.

I have contacted admin over there to enquire as to project plans and wether it could cope with a major upsurge in production and server load.

Will update you when I receive a response. :)

Yes - AMD Users supports the inclusion of Wieferich@Home in the DC-Vault. Its a well behaved application and its nice to see a non-BOINC application for a change. :)

vaio

Rusty.

The admin at Wieferich says they are able to cope with a growth spurt but have advised holding off vault inclusion until the final point release of their version 2 client.

I will let you know when that occurs, or someone else will.

Watch this space :)

Do you know if they provide the team positions in text format

vaio
20th February 2008, 10:18 PM
I would imagine so as I see Bok has added them to free dc stats.

http://stats3.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=proj&proj=wie

Dig the funky new interface too :)

Project has been around a while now.

1: 13391 completed work units.
2: Registration is open.
3: No project downtime to date.
4: Work is available.

I see no reason why this can't be added to math section.

Awesome thanks Guys... anyone know where the text based stats are? These will be used for something else.

Whats about the normal stats link, usually project url plus /stats..

No I meant the file itself.. Ya see...

All of the BOINC's keep theirs in. for example

POEM Stats

filename

Thanks... cswchan...

There are no problems with creating these stats for Wieferich@Home project...

How often are updated usually these stats? In time?

Name of elements and files must be with same names as in example? (name, country, create_time, total_credit, ... ?)

There ya go Rusty...

russkris
13th March 2008, 11:11 PM
Awesome... Nanobot has sent an example off... so hopefully it wont be long and this project can be added

Bok
2nd April 2008, 10:12 PM
I'd like a file too :) But if you don't get one and are interested I can produce the needed data from my stats in the form of a file or via php or however you like. I ended up screenscraping the stats in the end. http://stats3.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=teams&proj=wie Bok

russkris

Vaughan and other members of the project,

Yes, project is active, of course! http://www.elmath.org/forum/board_02/Smileys/default/smiley.gif And project will active to the future (thanks for every VIP and active members with every finnished unit).

We need more new active members for the project!

If stats files for DC-Vault will guarantee new members, I will prepare for it...

Please give me one-two months (maximum) for prepare scripts, which will generate updated stats files...

Actual version of the client 2.0.7.1 is stable for now and with server are ready for increasing.

Regards,

Jan Dobes

Someone want to respond from here to their forum?

Lots of work & no glitches as long as you have the most current engine. Not a lot of teams on board at the moment... hopefully that will change when it gets added to The Vault.

:cool:One reason there are not a lot of teams on board is you can't create teams. Haven't been able to for some months now..

We will see if they respond to my bug report on their forum.

Umm.... Yeah. I tried to register a new team (Ars Technica) back in March. I could not, so I sent a message to the Admins. NEVER HEARD BACK!

It's hard to want to support a project when they act eager to get you onboard but you can't get responses when you need help.

I have just created a team with no problems at all other than the member name who registers the team has to have been set up before team registration.

I managed to create the team by only providing a team name and no other information. I was then able to update one field at a time other than the description.

I don't know what it did not like when I provided all information at creation time, nor why it reported SUCCESS when it failed, but that's life.
