View Full Version : Question about Archived Projects

I am a bit of a johnny-come-lately to DC-Vault, but I have been participating in DC for a while now.

Anyways, I have searched these forums extensively, and can't seem to find anything about what happens to projects after they are completed. I know there are several projects that are now finished, and my feeling is that even these projects should remain in consideration for the rankings, as they are points earned by the teams. I guess a may be stirring up a can of worms with this topic, but I would like to see what every body else feels about this.

Respectfully,

Good point.
Our internal (Team-Ninja) stats are archived and stored - able to be viewed via a link on the stats page - when a project is completed, then the project is removed from the main stats leaderboard. The Vault being new-ish its not that feasable to go back and get stats for dead projects, but I guess this needs to be addressed.
Whats some opinions?

Considering closed projects in the score calculation is unfair to newly formed teams as they will never have the possibility of gaining a score in a closed project.

That should be enough to make this a moot discussion ;)

So completed projects are to be removed then?

Indeed, that is true Wyles... All DC-Vault projects are current and sending and receiving units

Differentiate between "project doesnt accept new accounts/teams" and "project is not sending/recieving work for x time".

In the first case, I feel a project should be removed permanently until its obvious the issue is fixed and may remain stable in the future.

In the second case, as we've seen with almost all projects there are up and down times and removing and reinserting them from/into the vault is too much of a hassle not to mention the work required toactively monitor all the projects every day....

And the extra requests after the project was added again.....:nooo:

Hello,

Is it possible to create another "Archived Stats Leaderboard" ? It could be nice, and does not required a lot of work because archived projects are not updated :)
