Please give this one a test drive and report back with info on how setup/stability and account/teamcreation worked for you.

As of Dec 13 this project is actively seeking members to testdrive the project.

If it meets all criteria, I see no reason not to include it into the DC Vault rather sooner than later :)

piece of cake to create a team.... some connection probs getting first unit...
I seem to be getting 'signal 11' errors, but all I can find on the forum about that is in German...

Will run for a while and see - need someone to test the windows client.

if problems are due to lack of a file zlib1.dll ,the file can be found in the boinc main folder. copy and paste it to the project folder within boinc, that should fix it.

Yes, searching of their user forum also found that fix. Now seems to be crunching happily...

News:

December 18, 2005
New client release scheduled: A new BOINCSIMAP will be released on tuesday, 20th. This will fix the problems in release 5.03 caused by dynamically linked zlib1 which is missing.

SIMAP@home runs smoothly now, the web page is in English, the zlib problem is fixed, clients are available for Windows and Linux, but not yet for Mac.
Nevertheless it would be appropriate to add this project to the list now, IMHO.

It's on the list now. Nano just needs to find the time to add it :)

Does this happen often? No work on the server, then lots???

Biggles
17th January 2006, 03:36 AM
It shouldn't be. Just a new project finding its feet. They now have a bunch more proteins in their database to generate work from, and a work generator being implemented, so it should have work from now on.
