Got a phone call from my bank manager - seems they have to try and 'liase with the business community' in the hope we will refer clients to them. Said he'd like to take me out to lunch, courtesy of the National Australia Bank.

So I thought....lets be mellow, somewhere reasonable, order lightly, not take advantage of the situation.

Like hell I did.

Fillet steak thanks, yes - we will have the dips to start why-the-hell-not......wine?? Damn straight...why yes I WILL have dessert come to think of it. No idea what it cost, but lunch paid for by the bank taste SO much better than lunch bought. 'Course - I'm sure I still paid for it one way or another, but with fees being what they are I still consider it one small victory!

I haven't usually got a big appetite either Shubles... but I'm quite sure I'd've found room for maybe a prawn cocktail starter (or 3), and something like a lobster thermadore main course if that had been me  :D

Good choice, although a 1941 Chateau Petrus might have opened his eyes a bit.
