View Full Version : A good deal?

I have been looking at getting a new graphics card for a while,
and I was looking at getting an GeForce FX5900. Anyway I saw this deal online (SCAN), and it looks pretty good to me:

Scroll down to the bottom and they are shipping a Gainward FX5900 Golden Sample for 139 + shipping, which apparently will run at 440/900 with a valid warrenty. That sounds pretty fast to me, and as far as I recall the FX5900 is just a downclocked 5950 Ultra? I mean unlike ATis solution none of the memory or TMU's are disabled are they? So presumably this card would be almost as fast as a 5950 for about 1/3rd the price?

It was a GeForce that went pear-shaped on me and wrecked a mobo, so I wouldn't recommend one.

Other than that, it looks like a good price. :)
