View New Posts problem

Sorry it's me again :D

Five or six times in the last couple of days I've had a problem with the View New Posts option. It's just happened again, I logged in it, it showed "30 threads and 115 posts since your last visit" so I click View New Posts it goes away does the search, tells me there's no new posts, I go back to the main screen and it says "0 threads and 0 posts since your last visit" a bit of a PITA :confused:

I've had that ocne or twice, but only with 1 or 2 new posts.

I've simply gone to the "view active threads" option instead, but I agree - it needs looking into.

Earlier today I went to reply to a post when I wasn't logged in....of course it tells you you have to log in and when I did it said, something like "this thread is not accepting new posts" or something along those lines. This has happened before. I went out to the main index and back in and it was fine.

Sometimes I've come in and it 's said x number of new posts but there were none to view, I assume they were in restricted forums.
