Ok..can we turn the option on for mozilla users that we be redirected to our newly posted post instead of having to clik on the "if you dont want to wait any longer, click here" link? :)
I just noticed..I dont see a cursor in here :D
Oh..thre it is again....weird :)
This is mozilla 1.5 RC1

The strange thing is that there is a meta tag with a redirect. The browser should honor that meta tag but does not seem to do so.
I will look into this as part of the Beta 7 update,

FWIW, (for all the problems I'm known to have at any given time) I'm not finding this one ot be present for me using Mozilla Firebird.

For some reason...it seems to have corrected itself now

It may have been due to a cached version of a javascript file. I really do hope it is not an intermittant error :sigh:

Javascript files tend to seriously cache. That's probably it.

Ok, I found how to replicate the problem
Start mozilla, load nm.com, go to the forum, do a view new posts => redirect works to the new posts page.
Go to front page, do a view new posts again => redirect ok
Now, post anything, even a reply and in that post or reply => redirect not working
Go back to main index, do a view new posts => redirect doesnt work anymore
To fix it, clos mozilla and never post anything
Can this be permanently fixed?

That does not work for me. And spending time looking into it will only detract from the Beta 7 work. Perhaps you can wait (and click on the link ;) ) until we put Beta 7 into the development area where you can test it to your hearts content

Especially as when you view the page source from the working and non-working redirects there is no difference

Hehe, its ok i can live with it (for now ;) ) and dont ask me about page sources and differences, Sir Nano :D

I have a suggestion, Rag.
Why don't you use Internet Explorer? :p

This still is a problem in beta 7, so I have posted a problem report. During my testing I have found that if you turn off the enhanced toolbar in your user cp the problem does not occur. So if you can live without the enhanced toolbar I think that is the best option.

The problem has been acknowledged so hopefully they will sort something out :)

Meanwhile I have found a little bit of code in the depths of my depraved mind which will redirect even if you have posted :p
I have tested it with Mozilla 1.4 and Firebird 0.6.1 so could someone with any other flavours give a whirl :D
