And why not?
If you've had win, were 'in the zone', on top form, whatever, why not shout about it.
Just give the piccy a spin through your favourite graphics editor first of all to slim it down a bit.

Hi Bap
Well lets see....
its a WW2 mod, you play either axis or allies. each side have following classes: sniper, heavy weapons (heavy machine guns), assault (machine gun and grenades), and light infantry (rifle). The lighter equipment types move faster. 1 or 2 maps are heavily sniper biased, but with only a certain number allowed most are not too bad regardless of class. Both sides have a base and spawn area - some maps are territory based so you must capture flag points, others have simple missions (blow up the dam etc) with a definate defending and attacking team.
The damage and movement are not hyper realistic like say Counterstrike, though you can not 'bound around' like UT - you have a certain amount of stamina, the ability to take multiple hits/damage and only a few seconds wait to respawn between kills - a finely balanced compromise for playability.
like all the HL mods its slower than UT giving a little more time to co-ordinate team movement - but far more lightweight than your average counterstrike game.
I find it as easy to drop into a game as UT but less frantic and with more scope to play a good team role. Saying that its equally possible to play the game without team communication at all - though less satisfactory imho.
I could never get into CS (played a couple of times - some players online not very sympathetic to newbies so never again for me)
Frontline Force would be more preferable modern combat mod.

yes your right..but much simpler graphically (HL is old afterall!) - in fact my favourite DoD map is Omaha Beach - much like the wolfenstein test

Squeaky, I agree mate. I've had loads more fun on Frontline Force than CS. FLF rocks!! :D
It's hard to get into CS, if your a newbie and get shot straight away you can spend alot of time waiting. :(
Boy, I can't wait to get broadband again next friday! :D

Nightmare:eek:
Have you tried jolt.co.uk servers.
They have quite a few and I almost always get a decent ping on there. (Not that such matters concern you LPB's :D )

:D
I'll give Jolt a try.
I've been playing on Blueyonder's servers. My ping advantage has gone though, coz most of the players on there are with Telewest broadband too :(. Not doing too badly though.
